Damper and Ducting

Mechanical

Damper and Ducting

Project Description

A leaking air duct is wasted money. Pressure drops, the blower works harder, and the power bill climbs. The culprit is often not the blower but loose duct joints.

On this job we fabricated plate ducting and installed flow-control dampers. Segments are joined with gasketed flanges and stiffeners on the wide faces, so the duct walls do not drum and air leakage is kept to a minimum.

Scope of Work

  • Plate ducting fabrication with flanges and stiffeners.
  • Fabrication of volume (flow-control) dampers.
  • Gasketed flange connections along the run.
  • Tightness checks and damper operation testing.

The Value We Deliver

  • 01Gasketed flange joints keep air leakage low.
  • 02Stiffeners dampen vibration and noise in the duct walls.
  • 03Damper blades adjust easily to balance the airflow.
  • 04Stable airflow without overworking the blower.
